The Messenger was written, shot, edited, and scored in a two week period in October of 2003. It was the our entry in the preliminary round of a movie making competition. We won our heat, which awarded us $1000 and the opportunity to write, shoot, edit, and score a movie in 24 hours. It went on to be selected in the 2nd Triggerstreet.com online film festival.

The most enjoyable part of the filming was in the Museum of Natural History, where we snuck our ancient symbol into a display while the security guard wasn't looking. When it came time to pack up and head to the next location, the security guard was watching us. Rather than explain that we had planted the ancient symbol in the display ourselves, we left it behind, where it remained for approximately six months. On display.
